After years of dependable and steady service to Belfast Flying Shoes, Lee Stover recently stepped down from the BFS board of directors. The rest of the board deeply appreciates Lee’s dedication and attention to detail, which have kept us on track from the moment he first joined the board in 2012. Those who know Lee will recognize both his reserved nature and his quirky sense of humor.
Drawing on his experience as a selectman in Waldo and board member of MOFGA, Lee was a key figure in our transition to an official nonprofit. During his tenure, he invested countless hours to thoroughly fulfill his responsibilities as a board member. On first Fridays, Lee was often the first to arrive and the last to leave, contributing his rock steady presence to setup, cleanup, and dance management alike.
We are grateful to Lee and will miss his thoughtful presence on the board. When you see Lee around town and on the dance floor, be sure to thank him for all of his contributions!
