Sept 8 Dancing in the Park UPDATE

Our final “Dancing in the Park” event was a blast!

Promenading in La “Bogstrain” (our squishy ground version of La Bastringue)

Folks picnicked, biked and walked on the Rail Trail (and biked/walked to the dance!), ventured onto the Hills to Sea Trail, rode the B&ML Motorcar, played games like tag and hide & seek, frolicked in the grass clippings, checked out the B&ML station, …  Oh yes, and danced!

Swing your neighbor on the station platform!
Dancing the “Lady of the Lake”, our Maine state dance, on the Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR station. (Lady of Moosehead Lake?)

Many thanks again to the 2019 “Dancing in the Park” series supporters: the City of Belfast Parks & Recreation Department, the Brooks Preservation Society (who own and operate the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad), the Coastal Mountains Land Trust, the Hills to Sea Trail (Waldo County Trails Coalition), the Roxanne Quimby Foundation, and WERU-FM.  Thanks also to the many individuals who made freewill donations to support outreach events like “Dancing in the Park”. Your support is invaluable!
