Belfast Flying Shoes is taking traditional participatory social dancing beyond the confines of four walls and a floor – we’re bringing it outdoors! Kick off the “Dancing in the Park” series on Saturday, June 1, at 6:30pm at Steamboat Landing. (Rain date June 2)
Chrissy Fowler and Lisa Newcomb will call dances to lively fiddle tunes played by Velocipede (Julia Plumb & Baron Collins-Hill). Sit in musicians are welcome! These participatory New England social dances are for all ages and experience levels, and dancers are encouraged to bring friends and family.
Come early for day 2 of the annual Belfast Ukulele Festival, with all things Uke, all day Saturday at Steamboat Landing and the Boathouse. Other local add-on activities include the Pendleton 5k & 5 mile Rail Trail Race in the morning and an afternoon concert with the Gawler Family and Pineland Fiddlers.
More info about the other dances in the 2019 Dancing in the Park series, here. Thanks for taking the joy to the great outdoors!
