Spring Forth Dance in Rockport
April 10 @ 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm
Let your shoes fly to the gorgeous Rockport Opera House for another “OH! BFS!” dance, this one as a harbinger of Spring, on Friday the 10th of April ~ Program partnership with the Rockport Opera House (OH), the Town of Rockport, and BFS.
- 6:30 Community Dance – with music by Sarah-Hadley Yakir and Kristen Planeaux ~ All musicians are invited to be a Back Row Bandit and play along during the community dance.
- 7:30 Intro Session to welcome those who are new to contra dance
- 7:45 Contra Dance – with music by Sarah-Hadley Yakir and Kristen Planeaux
$15 – 25 sliding scale admission*. The Rockport Opera House is at 6 Central St in Rockport. (*for folks only attending community dance, it’s $1kids/$2adults)
Springing for GREEN in your dance card– Reduce emissions, save gas money, and give yourself a break on drive times! If you live closer to Lewiston or Dover Foxcroft or Damariscotta than you do to Rockport, tie on your flying shoes to build community and get your balance and swing joy on at those dances instead.
