Belfast Flying Shoes is taking traditional participatory social dancing beyond the confines of four walls and a floor – we’re bringing it outdoors! Our “Dancing in the Park” series continues on Friday, August 23, at 6:30 pm on the Armistice Footbridge. (Rain date August 24.)
Chrissy Fowler will call dances to lively fiddle tunes played by Sassafras Stomp (Johanna Davis & Adam Nordell). These participatory New England social dances are for all ages and experience levels, and dancers are encouraged to bring friends and family.
Come early and visit the local galleries during the 4th Friday Art Walk. Check out a local restaurant for a meal or post-dance social. Stroll along the Harbor Walk through Heritage Park to the boathouse at Steamboat Landing or trek up the Belfast Rail Trail to City Point Station and the trailhead for the Hills to Sea Trail.
