If you’re wondering what trad dancing outdoors might be like, here’s some fun archival footage:
Er, well, maybe it won’t quite be like Central Park… But it’ll still be a total blast!
With our community-minded partners, Belfast Flying Shoes is taking traditional participatory social dancing beyond the confines of four walls and a floor – we’re bringing it outdoors! Join us this summer at 4 different outdoor dances connected to public parks and conservation lands in Belfast.
The 2019 “Dancing in the Park” series is supported by the City of Belfast Parks & Recreation Department, the Brooks Preservation Society (who own and operate the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad), the Coastal Mountains Land Trust, the Hills to Sea Trail (Waldo County Trails Coalition), the Roxanne Quimby Foundation, and WERU-FM.
